The living room is usually one of the most expensive parts of the house, despite that it is rarely used by the occupants; the designer made sure that this would not be the case in Woodley House.

The organization of the living room and its adjacency to the family room in this home design enables the residents to use both spaces as they desire. When the residents are not entertaining, the children are free to watch cartoons in one space, while the parents could watch their own TV shows in the other room without being too far removed, but still uninterrupted. These two spaces are transparent and connected, with an iconic fireplace separating the two spaces.

The large size openings on the north side connects the living room to the spacious backyard.

The dining room is about a sense of luxury and comfort.

The large window in the center of the room frames the beautiful outdoor landscape and brings the southern light into the space. The porch overhang  prevents direct sunlight from shining directly into the dining room during the summer.

The custom moldings on the dining room walls convey a more formal and transitional architecture. 

The long custom cabinetry, with Carrera quartz countertop and a wine refrigerator,  provides ample space for dishes and beverages.

At Woodley House, the culture of reading has been elevated by providing an extraordinary library experience.  The large window at the end of the library makes it impossible for the common bookworm not to take a seat and enjoy the one-of-a-kind reading experience.

There are so many of beautiful master bedrooms out there, but what sets this one apart is the balcony overlooking the amazing view of the luscious backyard.

The master closet is one of the spaces that is usually neglected, when truthfully, this space is  incredibly important for couples, as it defines their personal environments within the master bedroom.

At Woodley House, the His and Hers closets are upgraded with custom cabinetry and hidden lights.

The slope of the site enables builders to have part of the basement construction above ground. In this house, the basement has two walkout opportunities: one facing west going to the backyard, and the other to the south. This particular walkout makes this basement so unique, as it benefits from the southern light, and thanks to its placement at the slope’s highest point, it has an amazing view out to the landscape.

Also the front patio is another unique feature of Woodley House.

A house should facilitate uniquely different domestic experiences throughout each season of the year. The outdoor fire place at the patio makes it possible to enjoy the outside experience during the winter time.

Most people might not notice the structural system of a home until they see the columns in the main space. In Woodley House, the home design employs glue lam beams to support the structure, the span of each beam has been extended to its maximum. This construction technique allows for the elimination of visible  structural columns within the main spaces, and creates an uninterrupted floor plan.
