Design Assistant
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Intern / Design Assistant to support the development and construction of several high-end luxury model homes. The ideal candidate is creative, resourceful, tech-savvy, and passionate about residential architecture, innovative materials, and luxury home design.
Responsibilities
Conduct material and product research for luxury residential construction
Research architectural details, innovative construction methods, and emerging design strategies
Assist in developing and drafting architectural details and construction drawings
Create 3D models, renderings, and physical/3D-printed study models
Help coordinate with homeowners, consultants, vendors, and contractors
Support content creation related to projects and design development
Organize and maintain project documentation, schedules, and research
Assist with sourcing finishes, fixtures, materials, and architectural references
Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, or similar architectural/design software
Comfortable using Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
Familiarity with AI tools and emerging design technologies
Strong research

Project Architect/Manager
Position Overview
The Project Architect / Project Manager will manage custom and luxury single-family home projects throughout the complete project lifecycle—from Schematic Design through Construction Administration. This individual will be responsible for design development, project documentation, estimating, budgeting, permitting, consultant coordination, material selections, contract administration, site visits, and collaboration with subcontractors.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience working for a home builder, single-family residential builder, or architecture firm specializing in custom single-family homes.
Qualifications

Minimum of five years of professional experience working for a home builder, single-family residential builder, custom home builder, or architecture firm specializing in single-family residential projects.

Demonstrated experience managing luxury or high-end custom home projects.

Strong knowledge of residential design, construction methods, materials, detailing, building systems, and industry standards.

Experience managing projects from Schematic Design through Construction Administration.

Experience with construction estimating, budgeting, contracts, procurement, and cost control.

Knowledge of permitting processes, building codes, zoning requirements, and consultant coordination.

Ability to read, prepare, review, and coordinate architectural and construction documents.

Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors simultaneously.

Ability and willingness to visit project sites throughout Arlington and the surrounding Northern Virginia area.
